Swimming

One of the luxuries of living with Lane's parents is getting to swim in the Saratoga Springs community pool. Now this pool isn't open to all residents living in Saratoga Springs, just the ones who live in the original Saratoga springs community. The pool is awesome. It is heated all year round and its is really big. So when it is crowed its not too bad. Also is has the most beautiful backdrop. Utah Lake and the Mountains. Last night we went for a swim and this time I brought my camera. Here are some pictures of some of the things we have been working on in the pool with the girls.

Grace Jumping off the diving board. Grace loves to do this. When Lane asked me to jump off the diving board the other day I couldn't. I know I am wired, but one of my fears must be jumping off diving boards.

Lane with the girls.

Although Sophia is afraid to jump off the diving board she loves to hold her breath under water. She is cute. She does really well. Even though she can't swim, this is a good first step.

In this picture you see the mountains and the Lake a little bit.

Vacation pictures.

I finally got my computer back and now I can post some pictures from the last month. We were pretty busy in August. We went to Canada, California, and Mexico. And the girls started school. Here are some pictures to highlight our trips.
One last Canada picture:
I couldn't get a better picture, but here is Lane and Grace on a tube. I am really happy that she enjoyed it.

Our trip to California:
Sophia is trying to style the hair that my dad has left.

My mom in the Kimono that I bought for her in Japan.

My dad dancing with Grace and Sophia.

My BFF Lynn and I at the shop she works at in San Fransisco. I always love getting together with her when I am in town.

My sister Susie with Grace.

Activities in between California and Mexico.
Sophia Rock climbing. Lane was so proud of her.

Grace and Sophia with their cousins outside the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point.

Sophia's first day of school.

Sophia at the Gardens at Thanksgiving point.

All the cousins at the Gardens.

Our trip to Rosarito, Mexico:
I love this flower in this setting. Mexico is so beautiful.

Grace in the pool at night. I love the glow of the pool behind her.

Sophia playing on the beach.

Sophia asleep after the beach.

Our last meal in Rosarito Mexico. The famous Lobster meal. This will probably be the last time we go down there for a very long time. I will miss everything about Rosarito Mexico.

First day of School

Two weeks ago Sophia started school for the first time. She is going to pre-school three days a week and is loving it. On her first day of school I was really worried because she does suffer from separation anxiety. As we drove to her school I talked about how fun it would be and how nice the teacher was, just so she would be happier about going. I even asked her what toys she wanted to play with and she said," Mom stop talking to me I don't know anything." So I stopped talking with her. When we got there we walked to her class room and she walked right in and didn't look back. She didn't even say good-bye. I just wanted to cry. She didn't need me any more. I couldn't believe that I was starting to have separation anxiety. She did so well her first day and continues to do well. I am so proud of my baby.
Then just two days ago Grace started school as well. She attends a Montessori school. We opted for different pre-schools because Grace's school is 5 days a week and Sophia's is only 3 days week. Grace is really enjoying her school as well. With both girls attending school I find myself not knowing how to make the most of the two hours of free time that I have. Its great.
*sorry for no pictures my computer is in the shop. I will post their first day of school photos later.
