Back to reality.

Yes I have been on Holiday for the last three weeks and on holiday from blogging. I will resume my normal life as soon as I can get my pictures downloaded from the last two months. Yes Grace turned 5 in January and Sophia turned 4 in Febuary. Lane turned 28 last friday. Now that we have 3/4th of our families birthdays out of the way, lets get back to everyday life.

Christmas break.

Here is what we did over the holiday season.

The girls got lots of fun things for christmas including disney princess dolls, clothing, board games, and some other fun stuff.

Sophia and Grace passed presents out to everyone.

We went to Park City for the week after Christmas to ring in the new year. We did lots of sledding. The girls in their snow gear.

The girls were good about bringing their sleds back up the hill.

Grace and Sophia with their cousins on Main street in park City on New Years day.
We wanted to get the kids out of the condo so we took the free bus to walk around Historical Main Street and then after about 10mins. of that, the kids(well my kids) were ready for a break. They were so thirsty and the only drinking fountain we knew of was at deer valley ski resort. So we got back on the bus and went over to deer valley for a potty break and some water.

My girls were really tired by the end of the two hour outing. Here they are walking in front of the Park City Mountain resort, right near our condo.

It was a nice holiday break and we can't wait for our next break.

Weddings and more

I have so much to post and I have truly been so busy over the last couple of weeks that I finally am getting to it. First off we went to California for thanks giving and we had a lovely dinner with my uncle and his girlfriend. The Friday after thanksgiving, Lane flew home while I stayed to help prepare for my sisters wedding the following saturday. Susie got married on December 6th in the Oakland LDS temple to her husband Daniel. It was beautiful day in Oakland and it was so nice to be with my family.

I am so happy that Susie is finally married. Now I can't wait for her to have kids. There is nothing like having your only sister being just like yourself. We are married sisters and next we will be sisters with children together.

The week after Susie got married Lane and I got sealed together through our church in Salt Lake City Utah. Normally you get sealed when you are first married, but we did everything backwards. But now we will be together forever.
We had all of our closest friends and family with us to celebrate. Even the Koseki family from Japan came to visit us.

Tuesday!

Today is my favorite day of the week- Tuesday. On Tuesdays Lane doesn't have to be at class until 6pm. So what does that mean- we get to spend almost the whole entire day with him. Grace goes to school on Tuesdays so after school we always go and do something. So today we went hiking in our own back yard. And not literally our backyard but up this little canyon that is just to the right of the G on the mountain in Pleasant Grove. If you drive up 200 S in Pleasant Grove it runs in to a park where the trail head is. It was only .8 miles up to the waterfall so we decided to go ahead and do the hike. We had a map of the hike today so we did a little Dora Explorer Exploring. We had to first cross a bridge, walk by a spooky cave and then we would get to the waterfall. The girls were really excited. Now when we go hiking we always tell the girls that we wont carry them so if they get tired they need to find a nice rock to sit on and rest. With these rests, our hikes some time take a lot of time, but we made if up to the waterfall in no time and the girls had fun. Here are some of the pictures from our hike today.
Sophia siting on her comfy resting rock.

Grace got upset because she couldn't find a comfy resting rock.

We have a rock climber on our hands. Sophia had to follow her dad after watching him try to climb. She didn't get very far, but at least she tried.

We didn't take a picture of the bridge but here is the spooky cave. It was this tiny little cave perfect for tiny little kids to crawl into.

Finally the water fall. It was really pretty and I had no idea we lived so close to it.

Lane has always wanted to kiss a girl in front of a waterfall and well this was the perfect opportunity.

On the hike down the girls would race ahead of us and then stop and do some strange stretching. It was pretty funny really.

One last spider man stretch as Sophia was calling them.

Halloween and More!

We have been busy as I am sure that every one else has as well with the whole Halloween festivities last weekend. I have been meaning to put up some new posts this last week and I have not so here we go. About two and half weeks ago I turned twenty five. Ahh I feel old, well actually I feel the same. Then Two weekends ago Lane and I went on a double date with Lane's parents. Chase took us to a customer appreciation dinner at the Grand America Hotel. He is a customer of some insurance company and they are always having these really nice dinners for their customers. It was a very nice dinner and they had a guest speak. It was Frank Abagnale Jr. and now you say, who is he. Well he is the man that they based the movie Catch me if you Can on. He spoke to us about his life and yes if you have seen the movie he is a very interesting person.

That took place on Friday night and then on Saturday we took the girls to Corn belly's at Thanksgiving point for some Halloween festivities. We did a hay bail ride, played games, went through the corn maze and just had a fun time. The girls really enjoyed it and it was great that we had such great weather.
That is not a sand box, its a corn box. Talk about a lot of corn.

Lane sliding with the girls.

We all went on a cow train.

The sun was so bright, so all day long she was going this or wearing Lane's hat to keep the sun out of her eyes. What a cutie.

Sophia in the cut out, she didn't understand to look at me.

Then on Sunday at church we had the honor of having President Erying in our ward. He lives in our neighborhood so this is his home ward. Its very rare that he comes, so right after sacrament meeting I went up and introduced myself. I didn't know that he was so tall.

And not last but least we had Halloween this past Friday. This was the Girls first official Halloween. They have been talking about it for the past several weeks. And at the last minute they wanted to dress up as Ariel and Tinkerbell. So I went to the fabric store and fashioned some costumes for them, which I have to say turned out so well. Lane took the girls around the neighborhood while I stayed home and passed out candy. Let me just say I have not seen so many trick-or-treaters before. We closed our door right before we ran our of candy, just in case we had a whole bunch of kids show up at once. And my little girls we out getting candy for two hours and they came home happy as can be. Since Friday night both girls have been so good about sharing candy with their mom and dad.
Here we are with our spooky butler. This was right before the girls left on their two hour excursion.

Sophia got to wear her costume to school. Isn't she so cute.
