Yes Easter was last week and I am finally going to post about it. We did all of our easter festivities on Saturday. We invited a family over to join in on the fun. It was their very first easter celebration and they had so much fun. We dyed all the eggs and then had lunch. Then Lane and the other dad went to a park to hide all the eggs. Then Mika and I took all the kids to the park to find the eggs. Her kids did well in finding the eggs and well Grace and Sophia need some more practice. We hid about 36 eggs and my girls only found 10 between the two of them. They still had a great time and were happy with their findings. The most fun part about the whole day was sharing something that I have done for years with people who have never even heard of easter. Here are some pictures from the day.

This a great picture because the kids are sitting on the steps of a Shinto shrine. Who would have thought these very different religions would meet this way.
To tell you the truth though, as much as I love the easter egg hunt and such, I am grateful that the girls only found a few things. Less hard boiled eggs to eat and less candy for them to eat. It all worked out well.

how exciting! it's so much fun to watch kids find easter eggs and to share an american tradition while you are away from home. i talked to susie the other day and she told me of your plans coming home. we should go see a byu football game together or something fun once your settled again!
